Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 785-5760. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is rabbitholeasheville.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 82 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian deli in Asheville and suggests consistent service.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Asheville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is a dangerous place. I went in for ONE item because I wanted a cinnamon roll. Ended up with a giant brown bag of other treats because I could see them through the glass display case, all lined up, begging to be tasted. Pear ginger buttermilk cheese? Pear polenta tarte? Bacon goat cheese hot jam puff pastry? They all jumped in the bag with the aforementioned cinnamon roll. My doctor does NOT thank you, but I do!

The Vegan Chocolate Cake was incredible! The customer service was wonderful and staff took the time to walk me through the options for ordering a birthday cake for someone with an egg allergy. I was amazed by the rich flavor and the beautiful decor of flowers from their own garden:) Highly recommended!

I just went there to fix their hvac and had the best sandwich of my life... It was flat bread with mozzarella pesto tomato and I added ham. It also came with a side salad that had a amazing dressing on it. The sandwich was so big I took half home so my wife could try how good it was. We will definitely be going back to enjoy the full menu. And you can't forget sunny point cafe right next door.

The coffees and pastries are super tasty here and the people are always so nice! They have board games you can play on the porch which is super fun while you wait for a table at Sunny Point. It can get super crowded, but it’s still really pleasant. I tried the eggnog latte today and it was great! The pastries are also bug enough to share, so it’s a really great place to go with groups!

We took the advantage of the 10% off that we received in our breakfast in Sunny point cafe and we tried coffee and the cinnamon roll was yummy! The service is friendly and the place has different atmospheres and is really cool. They provide to β€œSunny point cafe” veggies and the ingredients that they use in the restaurant. So it’s a must if you’re are in the area, also the have game boards.
